Badminton
What we do
We offer a wide range of opportunities for anyone looking to start playing badminton or looking to return to the sport. We have a variety of club groups which run either during the day evenings or weekends, these are available for any one to try. There are opportunities to play league badminton and competitions across all age groups and abilities.
What equipment do you need?
There is no specific kit for badminton, but shorts and sports top are the norm. It is very important that your footwear is non-marking (clear or white) indoor court shoes. We do not allow black or coloured sole shoes and nor do we allow outdoor or running shoes. Rackets are available for hire.
Club Nights
Club nights are available Monday through to Thursday evenings depending on your level, a suitable level can be found from a social level to a competitive level should you desire.
Monday 6-8pm Intermediate/Advanced
Tuesday 8-10pm Advance Match Play
Wednesday 6-8pm Social/Intermediate
Thursday 7.30-10pm Mixed Ability
Friday's 6-8pm High Intermediate / Match Play
Friday's 8-10pm Advanced Match Play

Coaching
Coaching is available for all abilities from our club coaches. Our Head coach Karen Chapman-Gain runs a junior session on a Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm and also adult Beginner/Intermediate sessions on a Saturday morning 9am-12pm. We also have Elissa Seddon who is also running a junior session on a Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm. Both available for 1-2-1 sessions also.
Competitions
We have 7 teams across the Brighton and Worthing leagues in divisions 1 & 2 also including a junior development team. These include mixed, men's and women doubles in both a combination league and standard league formats.
We hold an annual inter-club handicap tournament, events include men's singles, men's doubles and mixed in two categories. We are hoping to include women doubles and women singles.
